The multi/poly from KORG draws inspiration from the legendary Mono/Poly analogue synthesizer from the 1980s, which was known for its big sound and experimental features thanks to its 4 oscillators, and transfers this concept into the modern age with the help of sophisticated modelling technology. It is the first instrument ever to make use of the latest generation of KORG analogue modelling, which, in addition to the detailed reproduction of classic oscillators and filters, also includes complete voice boards with the interaction of qualitatively different components, envelope generators and even portamento behaviour for the first time. In this way, the multi/poly creates sounds that seem almost alive and have the typical analogue timbre. The available classic, digital and waveshaper oscillators, which can of course be freely combined with each other, offer a true playground for sound designers and synthesiser fans. Within a sound programme, 4 oscillators, a noise generator with its own filter and saturation as well as a ring modulator are available. In combination with the dual filter, the flexible cross-modulation known from the Mono/Poly, four loopable DAHDSR envelopes, five LFOs and six modulation processors, there are no limits to the imagination when creating sounds. Up to four such sound programmes can be created within a Performance as Layer. Split or Layer Rotate sounds to create particularly complex timbres. (Layer Rotate is a function inspired by the classic mono/poly that switches between different sound programmes each time a button is pressed in round robin style) To animate these sounds, the Motion Sequencing 2.0 function offers several independent sequencer tracks for timing, pitch, shape and four other parameters, each of which can be recorded as individual steps or in real time. As if that wasn't enough, the Kaoss Physics function provides additional, unique modulation options based on the physical model of a virtual ball that moves on a plane based on previously defined parameters and can be controlled or triggered using the integrated X/Y touchpad. This ball generates eight different modulation signals at any given time, which can affect almost any sound-shaping parameter. This creates complex modulations that are never exactly repeated and can be used particularly effectively in a live context. Three blocks with studio-quality effects as well as a master reverb and a master EQ round off the sounds accordingly. When switching between different sound programmes, the Smooth Sound Transition familiar from the KORG flagship workstations ensures natural-sounding transitions without tearing off the sounds or effects. For the creation of new sounds, an inspiring random function is available, which randomises all or only certain sound-shaping parameters within a previously defined framework at the touch of a button, which can lead to completely new timbres or useful starting points for further sound experiments. The new, semi-weighted keyboard with 37 velocity-sensitive keys provides a pleasant playing feel, while the elegant look with wooden elements on the sides and a blue and black control panel is a lovingly realised reminiscence of the classic mono/poly. For particularly convenient programming of the multi/poly, free editor/librarian software is also available for Mac and PC. And so that the instrument can also be transported in style, it is supplied with a matching blue soft case with the multi/poly logo.

The SH-01A is compact enough to take anywhere, and with its sturdy knobs, metal sliders and robust buttons, it has the same indestructible stability as the original. Thanks to its different set-up angles, the SH-01A provides an excellent view of the control panel in any studio or live situation and can also be used as a portable audio interface with low latency. The synthesiser also features an internal speaker system and can be powered by batteries. The opsix module is the space-saving modular version of the opsix mkII and has the same controls and features as the innovative Altered FM synthesiser from KORG, with the exception of the keyboard and pitch/modulation wheels. Its clever operator mixer makes FM synthesis more intuitive than ever before, as each operator is assigned a fader and a knob for adjusting volume and tuning. Colour-coded illumination of the controls indicates at all times whether a modulator or a carrier is being manipulated. To define the basic characteristics of a sound, there are 40 different algorithms to choose from for each sound programme, although you can also create your own user algorithms if you wish. As if that wasn't enough, the Altered FM synthesis also offers additional operator modes such as ring modulation, filter, filter FM or wave folder, making the opsix a true monster synth that is capable of covering an enormous range of classic and completely new sounds. The powerful multimode filter and the three high-calibre effect blocks offer additional possibilities for further sound shaping. Thanks to its polyphony of 80 voices, even more expansive sound experiments are no obstacle for the opsix module, and even classic FM pianos can be played as full and natural-sounding as you have always dreamed of with an optional damper pedal. Thanks to the virtual patchbay, up to 12 custom routings can be created per programme, allowing even more freedom in sound design. The step sequencer with 16 steps can process polyphonic sequences with up to six notes per step as well as motion sequences with up to six different lanes. A clever randomise function allows the creation of new sounds on a random basis. The opsix module also supports the MIDI 2.0 property exchange standard and polyphonic aftertouch, making it an ideal complement to the KORG Keystage MIDI 2.0 keyboard. For use as a desktop module, you can choose between two different installation angles. Alternatively, the opsix module can also be installed in a conventional 19" rack to save space in 4 height units.
