For the use of LED walls, DMX-controlled spotlights and dimmer packs, for example, a precise 110 Ohm characteristic impedance cable was selected to generate a loop-through connection.In contrast to XLR in the audio sector, there is a female plug on the transmitter and a male plug on the receiver, in accordance with the logic of the DMX standard. The 5-pin f/m XLR plugs are 3-pin. For the power supply, the DMX/power combination cable is supplemented by a 3x 1.5 mm2 mains cable and a balanced AES/EBU cable.The split of the cable is 30 cm.
The CFD DVT digital interface is used for balanced signal transport from D-Sub to jack. The pin assignment corresponds to the analogue Tascam DSUB 25 specification (DA88). The D-Sub 25-pin male connector has a metal housing. The 8x 6.3mm jack plugs (balanced) are surrounded by nickel-plated metal.The CMD 8 cable by the metre has spiral pair shields made of tinned copper and also a tinned overall braided shield. The cable therefore transports both analogue signals and DMX extremely well.
