In order to better monitor and identify problematic modules, the R6 is equipped with an LED meter that shows how much power is currently being consumed. The internal power supply unit itself is double-shielded to prevent magnetic interference with the modules. By paying so much attention to the design and guarantee of the power supply, the R6 helps the modules to realise their full potential.Connections - high quality and versatile:With a multitude of connection options, the rear of the R6 is practically a patchbay in its own right. The R6 offers eight channels with balanced I/O options including DB-25, XLR and jack. These features are particularly useful if the user takes the rack to another location and is not sure which cables are available there or if the connections need to be converted (e.g. with the THRU function of channels 7-8).The housing - solid steel and high-quality components:The housing is made of solid steel and fitted with rubber feet so that the rack can be positioned both vertically and horizontally. All connections and components are of the highest quality to ensure that the R6 can provide the best service for many years to come.Confidence in the 500 format:The R6 has been designed so that all properly finished 500 series modules can be installed without any problems. However, to ensure that modules that deviate slightly from the standard dimensions also find their place in the rack, variable screw holes have been provided to facilitate the installation of the modules.The link function of the 500 series can be activated by using the link jumpers in channels 1-2, 3-4 or 5-6.

Gemini is the first M/S mastering processor in 120V technology. Gemini introduces M/S processing to the SPL Mastering series. Gemini is an M/S encoder and decoder. Centre signals (voice, snare, bass ...) can be cleanly separated from spatial side signals (guitars, pads, cymbals ...) in a stereo mix and processed individually. When mastering the sum signal, M/S encoding is often the best way to gain targeted access to individual elements in a mix.Gemini also offers the option of editing the stereo panorama. The balance control can be used to shift the centre signal in the stereo panorama. The Trim control can be used to change the level of the centre signal in relation to the side signal. In conjunction with the Stereo Width control, the mixing ratio of both channels can be changed. An elliptical filter for cutting the low-frequency component of the sideband is also on board.

The Blustream DA44AU is a digital Dante® audio converter with four inputs and four outputs. The DA44AU enables the connection of non-Dante® audio sources such as mixing consoles, amplifiers, computers and Blustream matrix/distribution products as audio sources in a Dante® network, as well as the reconversion of a Dante® signal to an analogue audio signal. The DA44AU supports both balanced and unbalanced audio signals as well as microphone line level inputs including 48V phantom power. The DA44AU also supports AES67 RTP audio transport.

The Avalon VT 737 SP is a complete mono channel strip and offers a combination of Avalon's Vacuum Tube and Pure Class A technology. The VT737 SP combines a preamp, an opto compressor and a 4 band EQ with two semi-parametric mid bands in a 48.26cm/ 8.88cm (19"/2U) unit.A transformer-balanced microphone input, as well as high-voltage circuits and selected tubes ensure a high headroom (+30dB) with very low self-noise (-92dB).An internal power supply with toroidal transformer, a soft-start function to extend the service life of the tubes, encapsulated silver relays for signal routing, professional potentiometers with large knobs, a stereo link function for the internal compressor and a large VU meter for output level and gain reduction complete the features of the VT 737 SP.

With the Pulse16, Ferrofish continues its tradition of high quality yet affordable AD/DA converters. The Pulse16 offers 16x16 fully balanced analogue inputs and outputs and processes levels of up to +20dBu in professional studio quality. Four ADAT I/O ports are available as digital interfaces, so that all 16x16 analogue channels can still be used even at 96kHz.Any mono or stereo signal from the Pulse16 can be monitored via the headphone output on the front. The two TFT displays allow precise control of the signals at all times by clearly displaying all 32 levels.

If there's one mic preamp that professional engineers of all ages around the world adore in equal measure and that has shaped the sound of countless rock and pop albums over the last 50 years like no other, it's definitely the 1073. The 1073 has been used massively in studio and live applications for decades and is still considered the "holy grail" of mic preamps today. The Warm Audio WA73 family offers one and two channel recreations of this classic British preamp (with & without EQ), all of which pay careful and humble homage to the original circuitry.The WA73 family of preamps are boutique preamps that can be very well categorised as studio and live workhorses at the same time. The classic 1073 circuit is known as a versatile tool that harmonises fantastically with all types of microphones, from condenser to dynamic and ribbon. The newly launched WA73 family is equally suitable for all types of microphones and sources such as vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, drums, percussion, orchestra, keyboards, and even as a sound shaping tool to perform partial or full mixes. With 80 dB of gain, a fully discrete balanced signal path equipped with high quality Carnhill transformers and a versatile 3-band inductor EQ (on WA73-EQ and WA273-EQ products), there is no recording, mixing or engineering task that the WA73, WA73-EQ, WA273 and WA273-EQ can't handle and excite.Hand-wired, hand-assembled:The classic 1073 was hand-wired and so is the WA73 family. According to a number of audio gurus, part of the classic sound character of the 1073 is due to the hand-wired circuitry of the units. The entire WA73 preamp family (including the EQs) is authentically hand-wired and hand-assembled, including the PCB components, which are all assembled by hand.UK Custom Carnhill Transformer:1073 enthusiasts are unequivocal about the importance of components in classic circuits. A very common topic of conversation is the transformers. Various versions of transformers have been used in classic vintage equipment over the years. The most popular of these were the very first versions from Marinair Radar. Marinair Radar transformers are considered the first choice for 1073 preamps due to their sonic characteristics. Warm Audio worked closely with the renowned manufacturer Carnhill Transformers from Cambridgeshire, UK, to develop the most faithful possible replicas of these coveted transformers. These fantastic Carnhill transformers are used throughout the WA73 family. As a result, the WA73 family comes closer to the sound of the early vintage devices than any other modern 1073 preamp.Signal path and capacitors:An important part of classic British circuitry that is not often talked about is the different types of capacitors and output transistors that were used. In order to maintain the integrity of the original design, it became apparent in the development process that it was important to use tantalum and polystyrene capacitors in the signal path and certain output transistors that behave much more smoothly in the high gain settings than what is typically found in modern 1073 replicas.

A Whole New Vintage - over 50 years in the making:The Shelford Channel is the logical consequence and evolution of Rupert Neves' work. It brings together the best of 50 years of development and incorporates the highlights of classic console modules such as the 1073, 1064, 1081 and 2254, but carefully adapted to the needs of the 21st century recording studio.The Shelford Channel includes a newly developed Class-A transformer-gain mic preamp, the Best Of The Classics inductor EQ from the Shelford 5051 and 5052 and a new diode bridge compressor based on the classic 2254 design. The channel strip also features a dual output tap.The input section - new character microphone preamp and RNDI:Similar to the times when Rupert was still developing in Little Shelford, over 40 years ago, the preamp section was equipped with a transformer via which the first 15dB of amplification is realised. The rest of the 72dB gain is provided by a discrete Class A amplifier. This special circuit design, which is based on the 1073, gives the preamp its fat character with enormous recognition value. A LoCut filter with an operating range of 20-250Hz, microphone/line level switch, 48V phantom power and a phase reverse switch are also part of the preamp section. The input is also equipped with the same DI circuit as the popular RNDI.Best Of The Classics equaliser - The Inductor EQ:The three-band equaliser has been taken from the previously available Shelford modules 5051 and 5052. The inductor EQ offers highlights from old circuit designs such as the 1064 and 1073, but the Shelford Channel has been fitted with modern components, offering the character of the originals on the one hand and the improved measurement values of modern circuits on the other.Versatile compression options - the diode bridge compressor:The diode bridge compressor is a new development based on the legendary 2254 compressor and masters the finest processing steps just as easily as massive interventions. Compared to the original, the Shelford Channel compressor has a timing option and a blend control for parallel compression. It can also be stereo-linked and is equipped with a side-chain insert. In contrast to the crystal-clear and rather restrained processing options of the Portico II channel compressor, the Shelford channel compressor is designed to make a real statement with its compression.Dual tap - The dual-tap output stage with variable silk function:The Shelford Channel is equipped with two physical outputs that can be tapped in parallel. One output delivers the full level, while the second delivers 6dB less and can therefore be driven into saturation without overloading the connected converters.As in most devices from Rupert Neve Designs, the Shelford Channel also has the infinitely variable Silk function (blue and red) integrated into the circuit, which saturates the output transformer and thus enhances signals with additional overtones.A lot to see - the VU meter:The VU meter displays either the output level or the level reduction.Double Voltage Power - Powerful power supply with exceptional power:The Shelford Channel is supplied with power via an internal +/-24V power supply unit. It is very powerful, extremely low-noise and switches automatically from 100 to 240VAC, 50-60Hz if necessary.

Tobias Lindell has already successfully modernised the legendary FET compressor in the form of his LiN76. Now he has taken on what is probably the most famous optical tube compressor - the result is the LiN2A. The simple operating concept of the LiN2A belies its versatility: the 2A compression dispenses with the conventional ratio, attack and release controls of other compressors and instead offers a simple two-button interface with programme-dependent response for fast results.

With the ADI-6432 RME offers a 64-channel MADI from/to AES converter. A typical application is the use of two ADI-6432 as digital multicore, or as AES/EBU frontend for the Hammerfall DSP MADI PCI card. Up to 192 kHz at 24 bit are supported. The ADI-6432 offers sufficient space for all sockets and control elements on 2 height units.The compact device with 19" width and 2 U is used for format conversion from MADI to AES and back. MADI offers 64 channels of 24-bit audio at up to 48 kHz sample rate, 32 channels at up to 96 kHz, and 16 channels at up to 192 kHz. The transmission takes place via a single line, either coaxial (BNC) or via an optical network cable. In both cases, cable lengths of well over 100 metres can be achieved. The AES channels are provided via 32 AES/EBU inputs and the same number of outputs on Sub-D sockets. The ADI-6432 understands the MADI formats 56 channels, 64 channels as well as 48k and 96k frame at the input, and can also generate these formats at the output as required.

In addition to the classic functions and controls such as 48V phantom power switch, phase reverse switch, mic/line switch and a -20dB pad, the WA-412 has a TONE switch on each channel, which can be used to switch the impedance from 150Ohm to 600Ohm, and an output trim, which enables creative work with gain and saturation.Better components:Each channel is equipped with a 100% discrete 6-pin opamp, which is placed on a socket and can be replaced if necessary. Discrete opamp circuits are known for their high headroom and low distortion. Furthermore, specially wound Altran transformers - made in the USA - are used in the inputs and outputs, which are responsible for the clear and open character of the WA-412.The careful selection of high-quality components has made the WA-412 a real workhorse that delivers first-class quality and always gives the signal a touch of vintage console magic.

When certain spare parts were no longer available for a classic compressor from the arsenal of mixing legend Chris Lord-Alge, the technicians had to make changes to the circuitry. The result is a unique compressor that is considered a golden unit. Black Lion Audio chose this very device as a model for the Bluey, so that this special sound is now also available to other music producers.
